SYNOPSIS
The Jataka Tales were written for mankind to gain knowledge and morality. And this film is based on the Jataka tale called “Sasa-Pandita” or also known as "Hare on the Moon". It is the story of when Buddha, in a previous life, was born as a Rabbit; and lived in a jungle with three friends a jackal, a monkey, and an otter. They all resolved to practice almsgiving on the day of the Full moon(Upostha), believing in a demonstration of great virtue. I have taken the essence of the story: Compassion, Self Sacrifice, the Goodness of giving alms, and treating everyone with the same respect and honor.
